Figure 6. Measurements of the wood production in a plantation at Sångletorp, first and second generation of poplars. The area was planted in 1991 on a south-facing slope at clay loam at Rommeleåsen in southern Sweden. The plantation is 32 ha in size. It is planted with bare-rooted seedlings of clone OP 42 from Ramlösa nursery. It was planted 1100 plants per ha. All were harvested in 2004 in two rounds. One third was harvested the week before midsummer, the rest at the beginning of August. Only a small parcel of a second-generation of poplar is measured. Climatic conditions are consistent with those of Näsbyholm (Christersson 2011).
